Argos Wityu acquires a majority stake in the share capital of Sicura

Rekeep has signed a contract with private equity operator Argos Wityu for the sale of a majority stake in Sicura, a leading Italian provider of occupational safety management services, products and systems.

With 7 operating sites, around 280 employees and 3 specialised companies, Sicura offers services dedicated to management of safety, environment and quality. From fire protection and security systems to machine safety, and from consultancy and training to occupational health, the group studies every specific requirement to protect people and the working environment.

With a strong local presence in the regions of central and northern Italy, Sicura achieved revenues of approx. €41 million and an EBITDA of approx. €5 million in 2018.

Argos Wityu is a private equity fund that mainly invests in majority-owned operations in European companies in the mid-market segment. Argos Wityu’s acquisition of a majority stake in Sicura will enable the company to pursue its major growth objectives.

Banca Akros acted as financial advisor to Sicura and prepared the fairness opinion for Rekeep on the value of Sicura. Banco BPM was successfully involved in the transaction by providing an acquisition financing package for the Argos Wityu fund.

The transaction represents an example of cross-selling and cross-origination within the Group and confirms the consolidation of the Group’s role as a key player in transactions.
