Crespi Milano S.r.l. opens its capital to international institutional investor

Oaklins Italy served as exclusive financial advisor to the sellers.

A leading international institutional investor, has acquired a significant stake in Crespi Milano S.r.l., a company specializing in the design and marketing of premium ambient diffusers and laundry boosters under the “Crespi Milano” and “Il Bucato di Adele” trademarks. The buyer, who preferred to keep its name confidential, is a leading international investment fund managing several billion euros.

Crespi Milano, founded in 2009 immediately became one of the leading players in the world of wicker and catalytic room fragrances serving a premium clientele. Over the past few years, the company has been among the first to launch into the laundry fragrance market, an extremely high-growth niche in which Crespi has established itself as a leader at the highest end of the market with its “Il Bucato di Adele” brand.

Sellers Luca Crespi and Pamela Buzzoni will reinvest with the new partner to proceed with the growth that aims to transform the company into a key player in the European market for ambient diffusers and laundry boosters.

The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Oaklins Italy – a subsidiary of Banca Akros, BancoBPM Group – acted as exclusive financial advisor to the sellers with a team that included Head of Consumer & Retail Elio Battaglia and Associate Narmin Vakilova.

The transaction confirms Oaklins’ role as a key player in the mid-market segment for cross-border M&A transactions.
