Tikehau Capital enters the share capital of Euro Group Laminations

Banca Akros acted as exclusive financial advisor to the purchaser

Tikehau Capital is pleased to announce that it has signed a binding agreement to acquire a 30% minority stake in Euro Group Laminations, a leading manufacturer of stators and rotors for electric motors and generators, through a reserved capital increase. The transaction concluded after a lengthy selection process, providing for a reserved capital increase to support growth and further expansion in the electric vehicle segment in Italy and abroad.

Euro Group Laminations, headquartered in Baranzate (MI), is a world leader in the production of the two components – stators and rotors – that form the basis of any electric motor or generator. With a workforce of almost 2,000 employees, seven production plants in Italy and five abroad (Mexico, United States, China, Russia and Tunisia) and a consolidated turnover of €404 million in the 2019 financial year, Euro Group Laminations is currently one of the most dynamic and brilliant Italian companies on the world scene of hi-tech components for rotating electrical machines.

Banca Akros acted as exclusive financial advisor to Tikehau Capital.

The transaction reaffirms Banca Akros’ role as a key player in the mid-market M&A segment in Italy and as a partner of the main private equity funds active in the mid-cap segment.
