"Green" securitisation transaction of Glennmont REBS Fund

Banca Akros acted as Arranger in the innovative ‘Green’ securitisation of Glennmont REBS Fund.
The income from the issue of Green Asset Backed Securities was used to refinance Glennmont REBS Fund’s acquisition of a portfolio of project finance contracts from an Italian bank to construct solar and wind power plants in Italy, with a total installed capacity of 110 MW.

Through the activities carried out by the Institutional, Entities and Third Sector Department, Banco BPM acted in therole of SeniorNoteholder.
The transaction confirms the importance of securitisation as an innovative and versatile funding tool for portfolios of loans and green projects, allowing for a broadening of funding sources and the base of interested investors.
